Company used aggressive collection techniques and refused to answer questions about the debt

I was contacted by a female representative (would not tell me her name when I asked her to repeat it) of the company listed above. She said that I owed for a bill for an online payday loan dated back to 2005. She called my parents house initially and left a message for me to call her for which I did. She kept referring to me by my maiden name even after trying to correct her more than once.

She proceeded to tell me that she was offering me a "chance" to settle this debt before she added her $1500 fee to the $800 that the payday loan company was asking for. They only offered these "chances" to clients they felt were worthy. If I didn't make arrangements to pay, she would call my county PD and have a summons sent out to my house. She would have my family brought into court with me. She was nice up until the point that I advised I would not be giving her any money without paperwork in my hand. She offered to email it to me but would not mail anything. When I again said no, things got ugly. She talked really fast and over me. Everytime I would try to talk or ask questions, she would interrupt to threatenedme. When I asked for her name, name of the company she was with and the one suingme, she refused.

At this point, all the bells and whistles were going off in my head. She went on to tell me she didn't care if I accepted the deal or not. She has grandchildren that she could spend the $1500 on. I still couldn't get a word in so I told my husband to listen. When I handed him the cell, she hung up. He called back and asked for her name and the name of the company she represented. She refused and asked someone in the background to record this call because she was being harassed. My husband just disconnected.

This all happened on Feb 2. So far, she has not called me or my parents again. Unfortunately, from all the research I have done on this company and their aggressive collection techniques, they will be calling again. I use the word "company" losely because I have my doubts on their legitimacy.

If anyone else has been unfortunateenough to receive a call from this company, I would like to hear about it.
