Re-Created a check for 29.95 with different address from mine

I am seeing a lot of activity on usacomplaints.com concerning BBU Interservices, same thing happened to me. I saw a $29.95 check on my online banking this morning, took it to my bank but got nowhere. There is a twist on mine, I called a different number than most complaints have shown (866-326-3568), spoke to a person who told me they were a 3rd party check processing vendor, not BBU Interservices. They told me there would be a refund in 3 - 7 days. The address showing as mine on the check was an apartment #17 on Tower Ridge Dr., Cornith, Texas (I could not read the street number). The person also told me this was probably fraudulent but could give me no details on how to proceed to catch the fraudulent party.

Is anyone getting anywhere with this, this just shouldn't be happening, I would guess this company will disappear shortly. Has anyone else called the phone number I listed above?

Also on the check ID# 9050 and TX: 1189369, any ideas?
