Fake debt collection on account that never existed

I've received no less than a dozen phone calls from CAMCO about a credit card that is supposedly $2700 in arrears.

They've offered to settle for just $500 TODAY, only over the phone though.

There's just one problem. The credit card NEVER EXISTED! I asked for proof that it came from the bank they said it did and they said they could fax me a copy of the debt purchase from another company.

I told them that I suspected that I was talking to a guy in his underwear in New Jersey and they were unamused.

They then proceeded to tell me how much my house payment was, the credit cards I had etc... This is when I asked them to fax me a settlement agreement.

They called me back and I thanked them immediately. Now I have physical evidence to report interstate telephone fraud. They hung up on me this time.

Did you know that there is nothing more perilous than a pissed off housewife???
