Promised me to lower my payments and stop foreclosure, I was told wks ago they were "speaking with a negotiator on my behalf" found out yesterday they called once

I have been laid off for a yr facing foreclosure and I went online to find a way to save my home both of my children were born in this house and I want to save it so badly I went to the first place online that sounded good, they still sound good but then I did a reverse address lookup and they are a bogus address. I did have a direct line to talk to one of the "negotiators" only for that number to be changed, was told two weeks ago that they were talking to the lawyer in ohio and that my home did not have a sale date and that the ohio attorney was "negotiating". I found out yesterday that they have called once. Looked for them on the BBB and they have never heard of them, thankfully I only got ripped off 750 instead of the whole 1950 that they are after.
