Tring to rip me off

This company contacted us on 8/22/03 stating that my husband owed a back debt of $1000.00. I told him that we needed proof of this debt as it was over 10 years old, 12 to be exact. They sent me a notorized document with nothing more than what they had already told me.

I told them I was not disputing the charge but I wanted a signed document showing that this was his bill. They said that would take time and would cost the company alot of money, and then we would have to pay the total bill. I told them that it didn't matter to me what it cost it was a matter of principal and that my husbands name was spelled incorrectly and they said that it was a typo. I also told them I would gladly pay the full amount if we owed the amount, and me more or less asked me what my problem was as I would be apying 100 times that amount in the end. This *hole that I talked to was named Mr. Albright. The girl that I spoke to was named Tori Williams.

I feel this is a scam and they are tring to rip off unknowing people. I told them that my husband never even owned a credit card with this company or any other company because his credit was so bad that no one would give him one. They said they would collect this date one way or another.

Please anyone dealing with this company, look out! They can't show any proof that a bill is owed. I refused to pay this and will continue to do so until I receive the proof that I need.
