Rick Thomas ripoff

On Aug. 20 my husband got letter from Rick Thomas at CAMCO. It said he owed 3,808.27 on account that was paid off in 1994. I called him and he said there was no record that the account was paid off. I told him that I have a copy of a Cashier's Check that said the account was paid in full.

The date on the cashier's check is June 13,1994. He said that we would have to send a letter saying that we are not going to pay it and that we dispute the validity of the debt. So I did. Now on Dec. 22 we got a letter wanting us to settle for $952.00 by Dec. 31. Or they will report it on his creit report. We are not ever going to call or write to them now that I have found this web site and found out they are a rip off. I'm glad I found out before I sent in the money.
