Ripoff! I paid $47.50 for a credit card and now they want a deposit of $300.00

They took $47.50 for a credit account. Sent a letter today and they want more money the minimum is $300.00. They will only close the account and will not refund my $47.50. That is the only thing that I'm asking for. I called their customer service dept.
