Prospective Agents Beware

I thought I would be helping older people so they would not be a burden on their loved ones for their final expenses... What a rip off!

I was informed that the leads that I was purchasing (at $36.00 a lead) were brand new leads... WRONG they had been recycled again and again.

Thankfully I stopped getting the leads while I was only $470.in debt. What I didn't realize was if you receive commissions from the sale of their products and then leave the company before you are vested (after two years); then you have to pay all the monies received back to the company. The business I wrote is still on the books, but they want ALL the money back.

The upshot of this scam is that they claim I owe them $559.10; I am considering letting them send me to collections rather than succumb to their scam. I consider myself very fortunate, since there are other agents that are so far in debt to them that they can't afford to leave. It is like they are enslaved to this insensitive company that preys on agents and old people equally. For the agents, they can quickly pass the point of no return.

So if you are considering selling final expense plans to help the elderly, do yourself a favor and chose a different company. Lincoln Heritage won't let you come on board unless you sign up for their lead program... I wonder why! It is a cash cow for them, especially if they can really get their hooks into you.
