Disabled With No Income, Facing Foreclosure on $15,000 Loan

I was solicited by this company/financial institution nearly 3 years ago, following a "near fatal" automobile accident that caused a coma, the loss of both legs, and a stroke at age 42. When the financial institution solicited me, I explained to the individual my recent medical condition and the need for additional medical procedures in order to save my life. I suffer from complications of diabetes and peripheral artery disease, and I have had to pay for most of my medical expenses out of pocket.

I have also been unable to work since 2006 because I am confined to a wheelchair. I have been compelled to collect Social Security and have no way of earning an income to satisfy my debts.

I have sent several letters by registered mail to the financial institution, attempting to explain my medical hardships and inability to work since my medical saga began several years ago, with no response. My attempts to contact the financial institution were to somehow modify the debt ($15000.00) based on my medical condition and disabilities, as well as the state of the economy and reduced interest rates. Unfortunately, this loan was secured to my home, as I was in extreme dire need of the medical procedure.

I have done everything humanly possible to avoid the constant harassment and threatening letters, and I have been compelled to relocate to my native Indian Reservation. My home is once again in pre-foreclosure, and I have been driven to the brink of personal bankruptcy. I am attempting to avoid a court bankruptcy at any cost, but this financial institution won't stop harassing me and my family despite my many pleas. My options are very limited currently, and they refuse to act on my documentation. They don't seem to understand that I have no money and no possible way of making any money. I'm broke, and they are direct contributors to a soon foreclosure on my home and bankruptcy, merely due to predatory lending practices of which I am a victim. The home I speak of is humble (at best), and due to the state of the economy, the home is currently worth only 2/3 of its value when I applied for the loan for my medical procedure.

I term them mere financial "drug dealers" who take advantage of handicapped individuals and minorities such as myself.
