Posing as agent freeman, threatening to pay or be arrested

Earlier today i recieved a phone call from a federal agent (mr. Freeman).
He stated that i was bieng charged with fraud for a fraudulant check to a pay day loan center. Mr. Freeman said in detail if i did not have the money by the time he got downtown to serve me, that i would be arrested for fraud! He gave me an hour to moneygram the payment in full, or cash or debit card only was the method of payment the (agent)? Would accept. So i looked online and the first thing to pop up on my computer was consumer complaints and the description of the scam this collection company is running! What a relief to look into things these days. As a consumer, our rights have been forgotton and unless we look into things we will never find out the truth! So i called the original payday loan business and they got on the phone to smith, dean &and associates and made it possible for me to pay my debt at the original pay day loan store. I called the (agent) back and politely told him i was able to make an arangement with the original loan place, mr. Freeman told me that is not going to work! Very rudely, so i hung up on him. He immediately called me back and said (i just made the worst mistake of my life)! I hung up. Never did he call me back. The lengths that these companies go i think is even illegal? So i hope someone is helped out from my situation, i learned to know we do have rights as consumers and to exercise them. Thank you.
