Fraudulent ILLEGAL

I sent this complaint to the FTC on Nov/6/03
I signed up for a free credit report online with this company in Sept. 04. Upon signing up the site said that I had an invalid email address and user name and that they could not issue me a report. (I was unable to sign up) Nov. 6/04 $79.95 was charged to my account UNAUTHORIZED with no prior contact.

I called the company and they said I had a report but an invalid email and user name. I told them about the charge to my account and they said they had a disclaimer on the second page of their site that if I did not cancel my trail membership within 30 days I would be charged. But being as I saw no Terms & Conditions or Disclaimer because they would not let me access their site or contact me. (When I called they said they did have my correct email but informed me when I TRIED to sign up that it was invalid and I have NEVER received anything from this company)

I went to an online search to find out who had made the charge and there were numerous sites from individuals stating this company had done this to all of them. This fraudulent company should be put out of business or at the very least be made to clean up their act as to not be able to rip people off like this. I am a student and this Illegal charge to my account caused my account to overdraft by $92.00 overdraft fees. Is there anything you can do to stop this from happening to someone else?
