Online and phone payment fees

Receiving statement at the end of the may I realized that my next payment is due June 1st 2010. Since it was to late to mail any payments and because I am used to pay all bills online, I tried to pay through their website. Suddenly I realized that there is a fee of $11.00 to use this service. When try to pay by phone, there is also a fee of $13.00. I never found a company before who charged me a fee to pay online and that's when I'm paying interest already. Shouldn't be this a free of charge service? It sounds to me like a rip off.in addition to that, they never mention about that, even when I called them asking about the method of paying the loan. They said that first payment should be by mail, and after I will can pay online, never mentioning the involved fees.
