We have a judment against you

I received a call today from a person who stated that he is calling in reference to a claim filed against me. He asked me if I was aware of it and I said no. He then advised me to hold on that he would get an officer to explain it to me.

So this man who is (Indian) with a very heavy accent tells me that there is a judgement filed against me and that I must pay or my employment will be notified and he mentioned my mothers name and a friend of mine. I was like, you have got to be kidding me. I said first of all you need to stop. Do not even mention names to me because they have nothing to do with it.

Now I have had gotten many payday loans in the past and at one time I was quite desperate to get money, so I applied online with every loan company. Stupid as it seems I gave all my information, social security, bank info, salary and address etc to get them. So at first I was falling for this because I had claimed chapter 13 about 18 months ago and there were some pay day loans that were included.

So this guy is getting crazy, and I can tell that he is reading all this from a script. He was very pushy and nasty. He kept threatening me by telling me that he was going to contact my employer, send someone over there. I freaked out and said what is your problem, why would you do this to me and tarnish my name. He kept mentioning my friends name and my mother, which was pissing me off even more. I said leave them alone, they have nothing to do with this. They were just put down as references. He said know they are responsible or some crap like that.

He said that I owed $ 800.45 from a year and a half ago from a payday loan that I never paid off. I said that is impossible because I reported all my debts to my trustee when I filed chapter 13 and the guy flips out and says you can't file payday loans in bankruptcy.

The scary part is that he had all my information. My bank account, routing number, address and of course has my cell phone and knows where I work. He was trying to be very clever but was absolutely annoying and had an answer for everything.

The best part is his name is Officer Lopez. Great name for a Hindu person. Nothing made sense. The number that showed up was 709-10000. Which makes no sense. We had gotten disconnected and he called me back and this time the number said no caller ID. So he was very nasty and very pushy and I was so close to believing that I really had to pay this. He was not willing to work with me at all and kept threatening me if I didn't set up full payment with him immeadiately, or he was going to file the judgement and send someone to my workplace. Basically he was trying to scare me into giving him money. So I had at first mentioned that I would not have any money until my next payday. So now he was pushing for me to pay it then in 8 days.

He kept asking me if I was going to settle this now, or was I going to contest it and he warned me that I was going to need a lawyer. He left his number and told me to have the lawyer call him. I decided to call it and a Hindu person, not sure if it was Officer Lopez answered by saying how can I help you. HELLO (if you are a Law Enforcement Officer especially part of The Department of Law and investigations, would you answer the phone like that?

So I see he called me 2 more times from both numbers. Came up as missed calls.

So get this he called back again while I am writing this. He says to me that we need to settle this and your lawyer has not called me. He started to get very irate again and was threatening my workplace and my friends and family again. I very quickly shut him up by saying that I am on to him. I said I know everything and you are nothing but I scam, and I said that I have put a trace on the call. Guess what... He hung up.

I guess that is that... WE NEED TO STOP THESE PEOPLE this is just awful.

Now I am forced to close out my checking account and change my phone numbers. I am not moving or anything, but now I am worried about money being stolen out of my checking account.
