I thought I could stop the credit card companies from calling me forty times a day, if I signed on with this company: Legal Network of America. I should have know better, so it's kind of embarrassing. This company was recomended to me by a shady character I knew as a claims adjuster. As I was saying, I just wanted the stupid phone calls to stop.
I wish I had done research, first. Being broke makes you desperate, I guess. So, the sales dude told me that I could cut my credit card debt in half, and pay it all off in a year in twelve easy payments. So, I said OK, but I wanted to think about it. He said that the phone calls would stop after three months, also. When the time came to finalize the deal, the terms were a little different, than before. The new deal was twelve months, and the payments were going to be over one thousands dollars.
Naturally, I was curious about how my little escrow account was doing, so I logged on, and looked at my stuff. I realized that my account balance was $150. This is when I found out that they were taking their fee, before filling up my account. The bottom line it this: I gave Legal Network of America 1400 dollars. They did nothing for me. When I asked for my money back, they gave me 400 dollars. They belong in jail!
