Homeowner Consulting Group, HCG, Loan Modification SCAM ARTISTS - LIARS, THIEVES, ILLEGAL COMPANY

They were paid to prepare, and negotiate on our behalf to get our mortgage modified to a possible lower rate, principal reduction, etc. I talked with our lender directly several times and I was told that NO ONE from Homeowner Consulting Group (HCG) was working with them, or anyone else for that matter on our behalf. I was told that the "modification" that was offered by our lender was sent based on a "mass modification" that our private lender did. My lender did NOT work with HCG. I requested documentation to confirm the attorney that they hired to represent us, any confirming documentation regarding their communications on our behalf with our Lender. They have refused to provide any proof of any work that they did on our behalf.

No one from my mortgage loan company has negotiated, or received any material towards a modification from HGC. Homeowner Consulting Group (HCG) did NOT provide the services that they were contracted for. They say they offer a 100% money back guarantee when their services were not provided, and based on 'their' criteria to qualify for a complete refund we have met our end of the agreement. They do NOT respond to ANY emails - after they got the "fees" that they charged from us.

Current law indicates that it is illegal to charge for loan modifications, which they clearly did. Upon confrontation with HCG, they said that they promised us nothing as per the contract, and that they will no longer discuss the matter with us. Ultimately, we are out 1,500.00 for absolutely no services provided by HGC other than lip service.
