I searched for a personal loan on-line, and filled out an application. I received a call saying I was approved for a $10,000.00 personal loan at 8% fixed, amortized over 2 years, but, because my credit is poor, they wanted me to send the first three payments ($451.68 each), or $1355.04 to them, via Western Union. They faxed me the loan documents, which state they are located at 3400 Coral Way, Miami, FL 33145, but a white pages search shows no company by this name at that location, and the loan papers were faxed from the west coast. The company is not registered in the State of Florida under that name. They asked for my bank information to send me the $10,000. The phone # they used, 877-257-0585 is not registered at that address, nor is the fax number, 305-428-3012. I offered to bring them the $1355.04 in cash and pick up my loan money, but they refused. The website shows it was designed today. I believe this is a scam to get people to send them money. Do Not do business with this company. A legitimate business will provide requested information regarding the registered owners, and will not ask you to send funds via Western Union. They can pick up this money anywhere in the world, and you will never find them or get your money back. The website is very professional looking, but do not be fooled! The loan offer is good for one week, so they really try and pressure you into signing and sending them the money quickly. They will probably be doing business under another name next week!
