Discover Card Fraud Prevention Plan Scam Calls

As an existing merchant accepting credit cards from Discover i am extremely disappointed with their business methods. I am being called, as are my employees, and their company representatives are attempting to sell us some sort of monthly fraud prevention plan. We are NOT interested. We've told each representative to NOT have us called again.

The reps start the call of by 'confirming' your business address and before you know it they end the call with "ok, i confirm that we are sending you an informational package' when you didn't even ask for anything, nor do you know what the call is about.

I've personally fielded a call, their reps lead in with "we want to verify your address" and then begin a sleazy sales pitch. An honest ethical company should be above these practices. To put it plainly, we do not wish to be called by their company again for elective services. If they do, we will file a formal complaint and cancel our use of your services. Stop being criminals. Seriously.

And fix your web page. When I try to submit this on their 'Contact Us' page, it says 'System Unavailable'. Seriously?

We gave up on this nonsense and we will cancel all and any cards that we have with them and we will also stop processing Discover cards and tell everybody about this.
