Horrible accounting rip-off rude

I am also glad to have found this website since I started to feel like I was the only one out there who had been taken advantage of by Greentree/Conseco. They stepped in at a time when I needed debt consolidation but the price has been higher than anything else I've had to pay, starting with an interest rate that's ridiculous!

Now in trying to refinance, I have tried repeatedly to get my payoff rate and they refuse to give it to me. Also, for each month that I have to pay a late fee, it is ALWAYS applied to the principal and I continue to get notices for late fees in the hundreds of dollars. I have called, written but one rep was belligerent enough to tell me "until I can pay on time, they really weren't interested in hearing what I had to say". I would try to get my payoff rate and the woman just kept asking "when do you intend to make another payment" over and over again until I finally slammed the phone down.

I hate this company but cannot seem to get away from them. Someone mentioned a backdoor through a broker - how does that work. I don't want to file bankruptcy to get away from them but I feel like I want to scream.
