5,000 credit line 0%APR for a year I feel so stupid! How can people get away with this?

Business & Finance

I was in a bad situation financially when this credit card offer came. I thought it was from god. I should have known it was too good to be true, but the idea of consalidating debt. And having an nest egg is appealing to a young self-supporting student in San Diego.

I sent them a $49 check made out to "consumer preffered" for the "rush delivery" for my new "Plantinum Card" and here it is 4 weeks later and I had been checking the mail religiously with no card. My check went through almost immediatly. I had made a copy of the "Acceptance Certificate" and found it in my files today so I could call to inquire about my card. As I reviewed the certificate, I got a sick feeling in my stomach because I knew something wasn't right. There was no phone number, no website, only a PO Box.

That's when I began searching the internet and found this site and confirmed my biggest fear. $49 may not seem like alot, but for me it's food for 15 days... 4 1/2 hours of labor, $49 that I couldn't afford to lose! If anyone has any information, or if there's something I can do to help bring justice to whoever is behind this please contact me!
