Company stole my money

I fell ill and fell behind on my mortage and this company said they could renegociate my mortage for me. When the forcloser date came due I was informed by the court and my mortage company no papers had been filed and nothing had been done. This was after I had paid them 1500.00 of my money. Needless to say I lost my house.
