Rips off a worried consumer. Identity theft. Credit card fraud

After carelessly losing my wallet and hearing horror stories about identity theft it was recommended to me by local sherriff that i contact a credit reporting agency to find out if the person who found it may be using it to apply for credit or purchases.

After reading the information about CIC i felt they truly were concerned about the same thing i was - identity and credit theft.

I purchased what i thought was a standard credit report costing me $24. On my credit card bill, however, was a charge of $79.95!!

I called my bank who more than willingly helped me out by supplying me with the phone number to CIC.

This number i recognized from my caller I.D. I recieved calls at least 8 times in 2 weeks from this number only to have the person on the other end hang up when i answered!

I dialed this number and after quite a long time listening to recorded directions and 'credit safety concerns' i finally was able to talk to one of the rudest people ever.

After sometime and eventually quite an argument this man 'guaranteed' me that my 'account' would be closed and i would be refunded my money!

I then got on the computer and typed the company name into my search box and the first thing i see are "CIC RIPS OFF..."!!!

I see i am not the only one that fell for this scam!

And as far as seeing my money? Ya think?!
