AKA CAMCO ripoff They're threatening to come to my house and collect a bogus debt

This company called my home and claimed that i owed "an old debt from 12 years ago with bank of america". They said the amount i owed was $1200.00 but they would be willing to settle it for $300.00 over the phone.

I told them it i had never had an account with b of a and they became threatening. I then instructed them to send me some documentation proving that i owed what they said i did, and that i was not going to give them any infor over the phone.

The man became more threatening and said he had all the information he needed on me - then he read my social security number to me listed several accounts that i do have - (he had my credit report in front of him) and then told me what bank my checking account was located at. He said he may just "show up at my door".

I called the sheriff's department and filed a report about the threats. They put a tap on my phone to trace the calls. Then, camco sent me a statement in the mail saying that i owe over $2,000.00 and have continued to call me. I sent them a registered letter, but they are still calling daily.
