Deposited $1,000, then $600 taken in overdraft fees

I can only agree with the other posts on BB&T. BB&T has gotten more of our money than our creditors.

On Thursday we deposited $1,000.00, and on Friday they had taken 600.00 in overdraft fees and fees for their fees. This was for 2 overdrafts of less than 200.00 that should have been covered by the deposit but, due to BB&T practices, were not.

Sadly, this is not the first time this has happened with BB&T. It seems to recur every 6 months or so, and unexpectedly you find yourself owing them more than you ever used of your own money. It seems to be a pattern. Now that we have been taken for our $600.00, we will not have any more problems for about 6 months. They get you down and keep you down.

We are middle aged and not financially reckless, but not rich either, so every penny counts. We have opened another checking account at a different bank and are weaning away from BB&T after 30 years. We cannot afford them anymore.
