First Consumer National Bank Usury victimized many consumers

I was out of the country when the bill from FCNB arrived, in the amount of $30.31. I knew my payment would be late, but mailed it the day after my return, with a note of explanation for the late payment. The next bill I received was for $37.01 in late fees and interest charges - more than my original bill.
Oh yes, a snippy note came with my bill that the fees were assess in accordance with their agreement, which I signed - in other words, screw you. Also, I received no other notification of their usurious late payment fees other than on the bill on which they applied it. There should be a law against charging more in late fees and interest than the original amount of the bill. Is there?
