Chase Home Finance
Chase home finance has filed a forclosure petition and we do not owe any payments at all. I have provided them with proof of every payment made. Help!

Business & Finance

In July, we received a Notice of Default from Chase informing us that we hadn't made a mortgage payment since October. This was the first time we were contacted by Chase. This allegation was 100% untrue as we were current on all our mortgage payments. I called customer service who were extremely rude and told me they would request a research of our account and we would be contacted shortly with thier findings. At this time, I immediately sent via certified mail copies of all checks cashed by Chase from October through July.
As the weeks went on I heard nothing at all from Chase so I began to call them everyday. I was always transferred to a different department as the representatives were clueless as to how to answer the questions I was asking. (Such as "if I hadn't made a payment since October then why did it take you 9 months to notify me that I wasn't making my payments?). Everytime I spoke to a different department I was told the case was till under research. This went on from July to October. During this time, I continued to send them certified letters requesting an update wherein I heard nothing from them. On October 19th I received a letter from Chase stating that I was correct and that they were working on crediting my account.
In the middle of November, I noticed that my mortgage check that I had sent to Chase had not been cashed in 3 weeks. I called Chase and at this time I was told that I was referred to an attorney for forclosure and that I would be receiving my check back in the mail as they would not be accepting any checks from me unless I bought the account current. They then told me that to bring the account current it would be over $14,000.00. At this time, I asked to talk to the department who completed the research on my account and who sent me a letter saying that it was a mistake on Chase's part. They would not connect me to this department. At one point a representative told me that we also had a $5,600 shortage in our escrow account. I don't understand how this can be since we don't escrow our taxes and never did. We were up-to-date on our taxes so there was no reason for Chase to even be concerned about our house taxes. Once again, I was told they would resubmit a research request.
A month passed by as once again I was waiting for a response from Chase. Before I knew it I was being served with a Forclosure Complaint. I called Chase who would not discuss my account at all. I have been calling their attorney every day and their attorney's office will not return my call.
The Forclosure Complaint needs to be answered within the next week or so or I will have a Forclosure Judgment entered. I am going to fight Chase Home Finance to the very end. I plan on writing to the Better Business Bureau, Fannie Mae, the nightly news... Whoever will listen. Chase needs to be stopped. Neither me nor my husband have been able to get a good nights sleep in months because of dealing with this mess. I have developed so much anxiety that some days I feel like I can't function because I am so worried about my home. If you are in the same situation with this company, please let me know as something needs to be done about Chase ruining people's lives.
