Stole A Large Sum Of Money

Was contacted by these people at work, during a busy day. The person I talked to said that he was an administrative assistant for a lawyer in the town where I live and told me that they were filing a lawsuit against me in a few days. They wanted to give me the chance to pay my bill off, and told me that with all their collection efforts that the bill was a little over $700 more then it originally was. I told them that I was unable to pay the bill as I was not able to even pay my electric bill at the time.

He told me that if I paid them $116.00 for 90 days then that would look better for me when they filed their lawsuit. I agreed because I was busy and needed to get off the phone, stupidly giving them my bank account information. Everything went as they said, they took the $116.00 out for 90 days, but then I never heard from them again and after the 90 days the $116.00 kept being taken out.

I let it go, because I wanted the debt gone and figured this was an easy way to do it. Everything proceeded as planned until December when they took out the $116.00 then a few days later (Christmas eve to be exact) they STOLE $1160.00 from my account! This was after taking the $116.00 a few days prior.

Now the amount that I have paid far exceeds even the inflated amount that they said I owed them, to the tune of $500.00. I called my bank and they said that they would try to reverse the $1160.00, but I have had no luck as of writing this. My bank account is now in ruins, they have added to the mess by charging me an insane amount of overdraft fees even after they said that they wouldn't, and said that they would reverse them. I've had this account for almost 20 years and now I have to close it. I had to cancel my direct deposit because I didn't want to lose a second paycheck to this mess.

This whole situation has put me even further behind in my bills, and after researching this company online, come to find out that this is not a rare occurrence for them. Complete scam artists! Do not give them any bank account information, or believe a word that they say! I can't even count how many laws that they have broken in my case alone.
