I too fell for this scam

I too fell for this scam! And I dont think that I am that easily fooled.

Like most everyone else, I applied for a credit card through a link on creditcardmall.com. I received a call at work the next day form someone named Maria Rossi, stating that I am approved for a mastercard with a $2000 limit. All I had to do is pay a one time $299 fee.

I have had a hard time getting a credit card since I have bad credit, so I agreed. I was told that I would receive a mastercard and a CD-ROM with valuable inforamtion via UPS. Then I was told that I would be passed over to a third party to verify my information and once I was verified I would get a UPS tracking number.

So I was transferred over, and varified all of my information. I then asked for my UPS tracking number. I was told that there wasn't one and that if I had any questions to call 1-866-753-5053. I thought this was a little odd that I was told that I would get a tracking number, but did not receive one. So I looked up their name on the internet and found this site.

After reading one posting I called customer support. The person that finally answered was very defensive when I started asking questions. Right then I knew what I read was true. I told him I wanted to cancel and he started arguing with me. He wanted a reason, so I told him what I had read. He said that this wasn't a valid reason.

I can't think of any reason more valid than 'YOU ARE A FRAUD'! He finally agreed to cancel my 'application' and hung-up on me. I put a stop payment on my account, and am contemplating closing my account all together.

These people are the lowest of life forms and may they rot in Hell!!
