Ripoff They stole money from my checking acount w/o authorization

These people called my home telling me that I could get a credit card with $2500 limit they just needed $298 to start the whole thing. I told them I had no money. They asked where i was banking and said they would wait for me to let them know when I could come up with the cash.

It sounded like a good idea considering I had bad credit and needed a fresh start. I fell for it. They asked for my account info but I only gave them my account number not the routing number which I thought was necessary for the transaction to be completed.

I told them that I did not feel comfortable with giving info over the phone and he said that it was fine, and I could give them the routing number at a later time when I had the funds available. Well it turns out they overdrew my account and screwed me completely. I will never go for anything like that again.
