Leasing news provider of false information

Several years ago I had the misfortune of receiving a telephone call from an individual identifying himself as Mr. Kit Menkin. He felt he had the authority to act as mediator between my company and a problem client. I told him he was not part of either the problem or the solution and hung up the telephone. A few days later I received a call, from a friend in the business, stating my employer had been placed on the Leasing News "Bulletin Board". I read his article and it was completely false. Soon after, I talked with several other people in the leaing business, and they suggested it would be a waste of time to reply. They also stated this was Mr Menkin's way to obtain business for his brokerage company "American Leasing". To date, Mr Menkin continues to publish the same trash, and his goal is to regulate ther industry - for a fee, of course. Today, Leasing News is equivalent to "World Wide News" to people in the leasing industry - just a bunch of gossip by a guy who has too much time on his hands.
