BB&T is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. They were quick to get me in as a customer, but omitted most of the fine print. That is until I made a fine print mistake. Of course I made the mistake because I am incompetent. I mean I work, and am going through college but I must be the idiot, not the banks fault. I was unaware that they hold a deposit made after 2pm until 6a. M the next business day, but they do give u a courtesy deposit of $100 at 12am. It was explained to me after i got NSF, by a bank rep, that my deposit funds may not be available as scheduled, but a $100 courtesy from my deposit would be available as scheduled. So how do i know in which situations will my deposit be available? And how long will i have to wait? Imagine that, the bank is doing u a favor by allowing u $100 of ur money! Checks can go through your account at any time but they can't deposit a payroll check in a timely manner! Then, they rearrange all debits from highest to smallest and take out all debits before credits! You might as well throw out ur bank ledger, because u never know when they will post deposits to ur account. Sometimes they will post it the same day, sometimes 2-3days. It just depends on how they feel! Flip a coin! So if u do live from paycheck to paycheck, u will never know when they deposit ur money. You should have the money in there according to ur ledger, the online banking also confirms the money is there, but low and behold they held ur deposit, let debits go through and now ur NSF. It really has nothing to do will spending money u don't have in an account, it has to do with them fudging the funds in the account to better suit their needs. They forget that it is the customers money not theirs. I would not recommend this bank to anyone else, and if my fees are not refunded I will be going elsewhere!
