Riverside National Bank
Delays deposits which trigger ripoff over-draft fees. Bank won't cancel courtesy overdraft protection

Business & Finance

Sorry, but this bank is a ripoff. I've had multiple deposits intentionally delayed which triggered their courtesy over-draft protection fees of $35.00 on each debit card purchase and, after 2 days, $6.00 daily continuous over-draft fees until your deposit finally clears and a positive balance occurs. Once they initially trigger the courtesy over-draft service, they will game your account by clearing deposits at longer and longer hold times. The bank's main line of business is excessive fees. Their primary target customer is poor, elderly or minority.

They have the worse customer service I have ever experienced and they are not willing to work with you at all on these fees.

Your ATM transactions are actually deducted twice from your account which sometimes causes the account to be overdrawn. Then, they will post a credit for the second deduction later in the week, after over-draft fees are obtained. They will also reorder debit and check purchases from larger to smallest so they can push the account into the negative and then collect the maxim possible fees. They are a ripoff!
