I received call at my work stating that if i didnt pay up they would file suit in federal court in los angeles come monday morning

I received a call from Jefferson & Scott Associates stating they were a law firm representing First Cash. They said I had an unpaid payday loan with First Cash. I never heard of either of these companies and have no existing payday loans. The man had a very thick accent and was very threatening stating that if I did not do what I was asked I would be very sorry. When I told them I was going to call my attorney and I asked them for their address they hung up on me. While on the phone with my attorney, we decided to google the name and that is when I came across the first consumer complaints with the exact same scenario. They do need to be stopped from harrassing people at work and scamming them out of their hard earned dollars. Thank you!
