Ripoff-wam-u "holds' paychecks, creating overdrafts, because you have overdrafts (?)

I joined a nice little local bank, Great Western, which was sucked up by WAM-U and they have been sucking up our hard earned money ever since.

For yrs. We had trouble DEPOSITING my daughter's paycheck (no "third party" checks) Sometimes they'd take it, sometimes they wouldn't. Sometimes they put a "hold" on it, letting us know by mail 5-7 days later. I had one manager tell my daughter and myself that as long as she was there, we'd have no trouble depositing her check. The very next time, she was there, and turned us down flat in front of all the tellers.

Even though my daughter is now on the acct. They are still holding checks, now citing "too many overdrafts". This, of course creates more overdrafts and returned checks. I called the 800 # at one point begging the supervisor to remove the hold because they were going to turn electricity off. Her answer?"Nothing and no one can remove the Hold". Poor helpless bank. Must be awful for them.

I have had $500 to $600 taken out of my acct. A mo. For a very long time. No amount of trying to determine why 7 ODs in a row appear right after check has been direct deposited, has helped. They can pretty much do what they want with "your" money.

I don't know what "people" this "people" bank is taking care of, but I'm through contributing.
