I had been a customer of WAMU for several years with no problems. Well, that all changed when CHASE took over. I have had nothing but problems with this bank since then. I had a NSF fee charged to me even though what I seen online showed I had funds in my account and according to my records, I still had funds in my account. This happened on more that one occasion and I am fed up.
I called the branch office that I normally use and asked what was going on. Although this person was very nice, she said she couldn't tell me because she wasn't even sure how this system worked because it was different than the WAMU system. She suggested that I called customer service.
I called customer service and explained the situation to the customer service rep. For some reason he wasn't getting it and after about 15 minutes of going over this with him, without even asking for a supervisor, he transferred me to his supervisor. She wasn't understanding either. What I was seeing online isn't what they apparelnty see in their system at the same time. She procceded to tell me that the information that was provided to us online was inaccurate. I was like WOW! So the tools that are provided to their customers to use are inaccurate. Well, why doesn't this surprise me! She told me to call the branch office if I wanted anything done about the NSF fee.
I called back to the branch office and went over the same story yet again. They finally waived the NSF fee. This situation was a couple of weeks ago. Well, guess what... Same thing happened again this week.By this time I was HOT.
I didn't even bother calling customer service because they are just clueless. I called the branch office and went through this all over again. The guy told me there was nothing he could do over the phone and that I had to come in. That is hard for me becauce I have 2 jobs and the times that I am off, they are closed. That is the reason they have phones and online services for us to use. So after going around with him, I called the other branch office here in town. Yet again going over the same story. The guy at this office was extremely helpful and he ended up waiving the NSF charges as well.
I don't appreciate the way I was treated by some of the staff of CHASE and I don't need the hassle of this mess every other week. This is just a way to take peoples money and they will if you just let these issues slide. I refused to do that as I work to hard for my money. I am closing my accounts with them and going with another bank.
