Geana And Associates
Violated contract, forced me to file bankrupcty, still has my money

While having some trouble paying my credit card bills I decided to contact Geana And Associates regarding their debt reduction program. I was told that they would take care of my problems. After faxing them my debt amounts I was told and signed a contract that if I sent them $338.52 a month for four years all my troubles would be fixed. They would negotiate with my creditors and decide on the amounts to pay them.

After negoiations the creditors would stop calling and my credit report would show a paid balance as long as I continued paying Geana. The only fee would be a percentage of the amount I saved. I sent my first payment in January and was contacted by La Shawn Lukes my negoiator. I sent my second payment in Febuary and heard from nobody but my creditors.

In March one of my accounts threatened to sue me so I tried to contact La Shawn Lukes for two weeks with no success. I did not send my March payment until she contacted me and said she was on top of things. I sent March out on April 1st and then was contacted by the clerk of the court in my county and recieved a summons because I was getting sued. Luckily I was able to stop payment on that last check.

I have since stop doing business with Geana and Associates and have been trying for weeks to get my money back. I have written, faxed, emailed and called, but can not seem to get to Georgiana Nickerson, who makes the decisions on refunds.

I have consulted my bankruptcy attorney and am thinking of sueing them in small claims court as well as contacting the attorney general of New York, the better business bureau and chamber of commerce of their area. They saved me no money so why should they get to keep mine.

Be very wary of this company..
