Ripoff super scam can we press charges? Ripoff artists fraud

I got a letter in the mail addressed to me with the words "URGENT-APPROVED" typed on it along w / a credit card glued to the letter. I didn't remember filling out any credit app. So I opened the letter to see what this was about.

I noticed right off the bat that the name stamped on the credit card glued to the letter was not mine, nor was it anyone I had ever heard of before. At first I thought ths might be just an example of their credit card but after a closer look I noticed a sticker on the card asking me to call this 1-800 # to activate this card.

I immediately called the company to inform them of their mistake and to besure there was not someone somewhere else that had a card w / my name on it. The lady I tried to talk to on the phone would not let me finish a single sentence. And just kept saying that if I didn't want the card to tear it up.

But it's not that simple I tried to tell her and she cut me off w / a very rude attitude. And we went round and round for about 20 minutes. She tried to hang up on me several times but each time she picked her phone back up I was still on the line. She would not let me speak to a supervisor and told me that she was the only one in the building when i could plainly hear other people in the background.

Tomorrow I go to my local credit bureau to find out what I can do to be sure my credit is not damaged by this company.
