Beware of Employment Adds that ask for Credit Reports

During the last few months, while looking for a job as I was unemployed, I applied for a few positions on line. I received emails in return stating that for these positions the company required a credit bureau report and to follow the link. Once I obtained the credit report, I was to either email them back or follow another link to let the prospective employer know I was ready. Unfortunately, I never heard back from the prospective employers and inadvertantly signed up for credit monitoring on a monthly basis being charge from $14.95 to $39.00 to my bank account.

There are two companies I know of to be aware of

Creditreport.com who is also affiliated with Creditwatch.com

And Credit Report America.com

Please be aware that there are no job openings and if you are already strapped for funds this will only make things much more difficult.
