Home Equity Loan at 21% Brings Daily Calls, Late Fees

Citi Financial has done nothing but harass us since we first established our home equity loan 3 years ago. The interest rate is poor (21%).

It all started with the grace period. We still have to pay late fees even if the payment comes in before the grace period is over. Now it has progressed to calling us 2-3 times a day, even after the payment has been sent. They even call my 80-year-old grandfather demanding payment. If anyone is ever thinking of taking out a loan from Citi Group, please think twice.

I would have been better off not getting the home equity loan. If anyone has a way to help with a solution, please respond. I am fed up with their harassment and late fees on a payment that isn't late.
