National Credit Systems, Inc
Harassing Letters and Phone Calls with fraudulent claim

Business & Finance

Research has shown others affected by this scheme. They might be a legit debt collection agency but something feels and smells very fishy. I received a collection letter with the wrong name and a claim of several thousand dollars for an apartment complex I might have lived in over 27 years ago. First, even if it was legit, why does it surface after this many years and I am 100% sure I left with no obligations. Of course, who keeps cancelled checks, etc. For that long anyway? I'm determined to fight this to the very end. My first reaction is to ignore the letter but this morning I received two "robo" calls about 30 minutes apart.
I opted instead to contact the Apartment management company directly. The letter states that they have tried to collect in the past (bogus!) and that the situation has been reported to the credit reporting agencies (also bogus! Thank goodness).
