My husband and I signed up with Court Mediation Services (CMS) for a tune of $2995. The premise is that they would assume my debt. Now we are being sued by American Express. I contacted CMS when we received the summons and received a reply after about 5 days. We faxed and emailed the paperwork to "Brad" per the response from CMS and was told that "Brad will review it and email paperwork back to you".

We are within 3 days of the deadline to file a response and have not heard anything back from "Brad" or "Terry" (the person sending the response email). We are now scrambling to find out what we need to do to protect ourselves and try to respond to the summons.

I had high hopes when we got involved with CMS. They claimed to be able to provide Out of Court Mediations and debt settlement/relief. Supposedly, after about 15 months, your debt will be gone and your credit report wiped clean of bad marks. When initially getting involved, I was unable to find information on this company or Brad Daley. Now, I am finding that this is a scam and I am very concerned that I have been duped!

Before wasting your time, consider all of your options... including bankruptcy. It may take a while to recover, but you won't be taken and will be able to find a slow road to recovery.
