Sky rocketing interest rates

After 4 yrs. Of using and faithfully paying our Chase credit balance we received a letter notifying us of increases of monthly interest rates from 7.37% to 19.5%. If we did not accept the increased rates our account would be closed to further use. A customer service representative was totally unsympathetic to our inquiry of some program to rectify the increased monthly rate since we had never made a late payment in 4 years. We were told take the new rates or the account would be closed to future purchases.
My point is to warn any potential NEW customers that this bank is invading California with soothing TV and radio ads trying to seduce new customers into banking with Chase. BE WARNED - Do not become a Chase customer as the firm is a heartless, money grabbing, overpaid CEO's.
