I contracted with them, they paid me 3 months after they said they would

First job was Jan 8th. First and only payment was May 8th. The check was made out to my business name. Since the relationship only lasted one month I never opened a business account. Obviously I can't cash the check. I asked them if they would void the check and write one to me instead.

They said they couldn't because of accounting reasons. This is a load of bull because I never gave them my Employer ID#. They could have wrote the check to Ethel Mertz and it would have been the same as writing it to my business.

They don't return emails or phone calls. The owner of the company doesn't even have voicemail setup on his cell phone. They work from home and don't answer that phone either.

If you are considering contracting for them I would think twice.
