Uncounscious overdraft and NSF fees assessed disloyal bank

On December 11, I deposited a check on my account through a shared branch. I was not told that a hold would be placed. On December 16, $30 overdraft charges started to be assessed for each single item I bought, small items although balance showed over $400 available. Since then charges have been reaching $2400, and cost me financial fees of over $670, without counting my inability to pay major loans and mortgage, thus damaging my credit. I filed a complaint with BBB with no result - AAFCU tried to cover-up their mistake.
Summary:
AAFCU is not clear about their funds availability policy, their employees do not understand what happens on the accounts, and provide conflicting information. The latest information is that no hold was placed on this check - which contradicts what they told before. They do not know what they are doing, and in addition do not respect their customers.
I want my money back.
