Scared me into making payments

Shannon waldron called and told me that her client (ge money) was gona file a lawsuit against me if i didnt agree to an arraignment to pay off my debt. So i did because she made it sound like i'd be in huge problems if i didnt. I was only allowed 3 installments in 3 months, i've already made 2. Then i realized i dont have anything proving wat i owe and how much i've paid or that this company even has the right to go after me.

So i decided to research the company today and i feel so stupid! I should have known because i had a bad feeling all along. I paid them with money grams because i didnt want them to have my account info. So i dont even have proof of wat i paid or to whom. I called and requested a settlement letter and letter of representation and they said they'd mail it but who knows, from what i've read i'll probably never receive them. I'm so mad but is there anything i can do? At least to stop these people from doing this over and over again. Anyone w/info please shed some light.
