The Lionheart Group
Interview Scam

Business & Finance

Same as the other Lionheart Interview Scam consumer complaints. I was contacted because they found my Resume on Career Builder with the following email:

We have reviewed your resume on CareerBuilder.com and feel we may have an interest in scheduling you for an interview. Please take a moment to answer a brief questionnaire (see the link below) that will further assist us in determining if a preliminary match exists between your qualifications and career objectives and our corporate goals.

Interviews will be conducted in our Bellevue office on Monday of next week. To be clear, this position does NOT require a daily commute.

PLEASE NOTE: You have been sent this email because we saw something in your resume that would indicate to us a potential fit for professional business to business sales.

If you feel we have made an error, there is no reason for you to click on the compatibility profile below. Please simply scroll to the bottom of this email and click on the link to be permanently removed from our selection process.

The Lionheart Group, Inc. Is uniquely positioned to attract, develop and retain preeminent field and management talent in an emerging industry characterized by high-growth and minimal competition. We specialize in providing business owners and employee groups of all sizes with cutting edge employee benefits specifically designed for identity theft restoration and access to the legal system.

We seek independent-minded individuals with solid interpersonal communications skills to join our elite team of highly trained business to business sales professionals. Our Agents can earn substantial incomes marketing our plans both as employee benefits and as valuable tools for business owners.

Candidates must be comfortable dealing with senior level executives and business owners. Public speaking skills suitable for presenting to groups of 10 to 40 employees at a time are a plus. Candidates must be coachable and willing to follow a proven success system.

History has shown that the demand for our services actually increases in a down economy, which is one reason we have just completed our 15th consecutive year of record setting growth. It is also why we are looking to add a few solid professionals to our business to business sales team right now.

As we have all seen, an unprecedented economic shift is taking place in our nation, and many hard working professionals are now faced with some tough questions about the financial stability of both their career path and their future. Americans are witnessing a seemingly endless parade of major employers laying off tens of thousands of employees once thought to have safe and secure corporate jobs. The Industrial Age model for financial security was to go to school, get good grades and find a safe secure job for life. We were told that we could count on the retirement from our job and the government to take care of us financially once our working days were over. The rules have officially changed.

Timing is everything, and we fully realize that many candidates whose resume credentials meet our criteria may not have reached a point in their careers where they are prepared to consider alternatives beyond climbing the traditional corporate ladder. We are looking for seasoned professionals who are now ready to break away from the pack and ask themselves uncommon questions in this new economy.

Questions like these: Have I had enough of working day after day building a company for someone else, a secure retirement and a solid financial future for someone else only to start all over again every few years? Is it time I built a solid income for me and my family that no one can take away either today or in my retirement? Have I had enough of simply trading my time for dollars without building anything that will continue to pay me when I am ready to slow down?

If you would answer yes to these questions, we would encourage you to move to the first phase in our selection process by completing the online compatibility questionnaire (at the link above).

All additional details will be discussed at the interview, if one is scheduled.

Thank you in advance,

Storm Janaszak, Area VP
The Lionheart Group, Inc.

I politely responded back that I am not now, nor have I ever been in sales, but that I would be interested in discussing the job. Since I have been unemployed since January, I am taking any interview I can find. During my interview I was told I would have to purchase their Prepaid Legal Services and Identity Theft plans in order to be an employee. So I would have a "vested" interest and also so I would be more effective in my job. The position is commission only, and you don't need any sales experience. The people doing the hiring apparently are all sales people them selves, not even managers which makes no sense to mee.

All in all, this company is out to make sales. I think this is an abominable attempt at misdirection, getting the hopes up for people who are legitimitely looking for work, then forcing them to buy services and leaving them to fend for themselves by doing the same thing to others.
