The Lionheart Group
Deceptive Hiring Practices

Business & Finance

This is an email I sent to the Lionheart Group along with a copy of their subsequent response. Notice how almost every issue I raised is not directly answered. This is not a job although they are recruiting from the job sites.in my opinion, it IS a good way to go broke without substantial resources.

Dear Mike:

I might as well be up front with you. After doing some research on the Internet about your company, the following issues have surfaced.

1. This is not so much an interview as it is a lead generation system for the purpose of signing up candidates for the Pre-Paid Legal Program for a monthly fee and charging candidates $49.95 for a background check which is alleged not to be actually performed. Although it is made clear that this is not a job, most candidates on Monster and Career Builder are in fact in need of a job and this interview concept does create the belief that the applicant is applying for a job. Training does not appear to be paid for and I wonder what the advancement on commissions really means.

2. Furthermore, there are questions as to how much legal services are actually provided for the monthly membership. Maybe it is substantial and maybe it is not. There are no responsive figures or facts that I could find to determine this issue one way or the other. It has been alleged that regardless of much of a fee that you pay to your provider law firms, if it goes beyond a phone call, a letter or a fax, additional fees will be required, albeit discounted.

3. Most leveraged or network marketing programs require substantial time and resources to get off the ground from every expert I have ever studied. This would probably be impossible for most people actually needing employment.

4. I don't like to burn bridges. I found your sign up program impressive and responsive. However, without further information, I will not be coming to my 1:00 P.M.interview. Sincerely, William

William
