Scum of the Earth Attorney harasses you

This person is the complete scum of the earth. He has persistently "served" me at my home, harassing my teenage son, with papers that do not need to be served. He has now filed a Motion for Summary Judgment. I was originally "personally" served via mail box (summons and complaint was apparently just put in the mailbox when the server could not find my house and the post office notified me papers were left in my box... I never picked them up) which is a Federal offense, then continued to have me "served" with papers and, never finding me at home, left them with my teenage son! This is not personal service.

Now is saying they will fight my motion to ask for a continuance due to work issues (the fees for fighting them on a debt I don't even owe are crazy) saying they don't have the "time or resources" to delay the hearing. They have certainly spent enough trying to "serve" me papers they did not need to serve which could have been sent via certified mail. I plan on filing bankruptcy just to get them off my back (this has been going on since 2007).

Don't let them intimidate you. Personal service means they identified you and handed the documents to you, leaving them on the step is not personal service! Demand they live up to the letter of the law even if it costs you postage in certified letter charges. Also, send them emails with return receipts requested. Lawyers who demand things under the law should be forced to follow the law. Complain to the California Bar Association.
