Held eBay Sale Money Led to Bounced Draft, $25 Fee

I recently sold an item on eBay and accepted payment through PayPal (owned by eBay). I used eBay's label printing service, which entered into their database that I had shipped the item.

The item arrived at its destination on March 24. Money should have been released on that day. I purchased an item using PayPal on March 26. I had plenty of funds, and then some, to cover the purchase from my PayPal account. PayPal went to my bank instead. A shortage of funds in my bank account resulted in a bounced draft and a $25 ding against me from my bank. PayPal will not make good, even though they had placed a hold on my account that should have been released in plenty of time to cover the charge that was coming in.
