Cit group, rip off, unearned late fees, raising interest rate in the middle of a financial chaos, insurance scam adding to late fees

We were impossed an insurance for thousands of dollars when indeed we have never failed to keep our home insured, when this happened i refused to pay amount we were billed for, this added late fees that were never taken off our account, lthough they apologized for adding insurance to our loan when it wasn't needed, our home was financed for 250k it is worth right now 125k and maybe less, we have tried reaching the department and i have tried to contact someone in charge with no luck, now for the past six months we have encountered a rough financial situation not only we had a 500.00 raise in our mortgage due to interest changes but also we have tried for more than one year to modify our loan and keep sending them all the required information and they keep telling us they have not received it for a second time since the first time were denied the help, also they have sold the company the new name is vericrest financial inc, po box 24330 oklahoma city, ok 73124, out of almost 2000k monthly we pay them only 286.00 dollars goes towards our principal and with the late fees we have no equity at all, one more thing when i called for help the gentleman who was suppossed to help me told me plain cruel " why don't you sell it short sale and get our if you can't afford it? My answer question to him was, why don't you short sale it to me? Then i will be able to afford it, he answered call again when you are ready to make your next payment, of course no last names no id's and when i asked for supervisor i got handged up on.
