I contacted this company to resolve past due tax and seek offer in compromise. Mr Almond was very pleasant, seemingly knowledgeable, and advised me he would take care of everything. He inisisted on my signing power of attorney to him, sending overnight a $6500 cashier's check for retainer, advised to have no contact with the IRS, and assured me that he and his staff would represent me in all dealings with the IRS.
The IRS continued to send notices of tax due (with interest) and eventually garnishment of wages. I contacted the company and never again could contact Mr Almond directly. His secretary continually made excuses (illness, out-of-the office, will return your call, etc.) I asked on a refund of my money paid as Almond did absolutely nothing.
My attorney made attempts to contact him, with no avail. I have not heard from him since. Almond is apparently an attorney in GA - 'all the worse.
Avoid at all costs. This is a pure scam.
